Evening Post Publishing names new president

CHARLESTON, S.C. Travis O. Rockey will take over as president and chief operating officer of the Evening Post Publishing Co. Jan. 1, the company’s flagship newspaper reported Thursday.

Nationwide Tour Championship Coming to SC

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The Nationwide Tour Championship is coming to Charleston for the next three years.
The PGA announced Thursday that the tournament, the final event of the Nationwide schedule, will be played at the Daniel Island Club beginning with the 2009 event, scheduled for Oct. 22-25. Charleston will host in 2010 and 2011.
