MONCKS CORNER – Google is having a party to mark the completion of its new data center near Moncks Corner.

The ribbon cutting is set for Tuesday with state and local leaders to attend.

Google announced last year that it was building a server farm at a 520-acre industrial site – part of a $600 million investment that’s creating 200 jobs. The data center will have dozens of computers that will be part of the company’s worldwide network to handle Internet traffic.

The company says the ribbon-cutting ceremonies will also feature live music, food and activities for children.
