Rhett’s Bluff – Kiawah Island

Rhett’s Bluff is located on the Kiawah River and is a great place to enjoy the natural beauty of Kiawah Island, SC. Flanked by Bass Pond and the Kiawah River on Kiawah’s northern shore, Rhett’s Bluff is an established neighborhood oriented on deep water. Once home to prehistoric Indian tribes and in the 18th century to James Shoolbred, America’s first British consul, Rhett’s Bluff’s charm is as timeless as the land itself.
Canopies of live oaks, deep covered porches, flower boxes brimming full of geraniums, and utmost attention to landscaping highlight the homes at Rhett’s Bluff. A pavilion and private boat landing provide easy deep-water access for neighborhood residents to enjoy the beauty of the Kiawah River. Tom Fazio’s acclaimed River Course, set alongside Bass Pond and the Kiawah River, is also a part of this spectacular neighborhood.
Rhett’s Bluff is home to one of the island’s boat landings. A two-lane ramp and floating dock make launching your boat (up to 30’ in length, including trailer) quick and easy, whether you’re planning to fish, bask in the sun, or sightsee.
